Description

The first astro-image I took was in January 20th, 2017. Being a newcomer to this world, to me this image means a lot to me.

On the night of January 3rd, 2019, I decided to setup and try out my new Losmany G11T mount, and image Orion Nebula. As this was my first time using the mount, and having forgot to buy a polar scope adapter to attach to my new mouth, we opted for drift alignment. This technique of alignment was very new to me, and had not tried it before, which put the quality of my images that evening to doubt. By sunrise, I had taken 100 images, 50 images before meridian flip, and 50 images after (which also added more doubts to the quality of the images), I also captured 100 bias and flat frames, and 84 dark frames. I stacked and processed the images in Pixinsight, with minor edits in Photoshop. This is by far my best image, and the most image I am proud of.
